Prep: Type or write each word of your verse (the 1st column) on a piece of coloured paper and blutack it to a large card. Add other random words in the same way. Check in the dictionary and write a list of synonyms (words that have a similar meaning) beside the words of your verse on YOUR COPY only!

Play: Ask members to look for the similar word on the board – ‘master’ (Lord) and when they guess it right, pull it off the card and place it first in line on another board or at the top of your card. Ask them to look for the next one eg. ‘however’ (even) and place it next in line – continue until they have chosen all the words of the memory verse. They will now be in order and you can say it through together.

Options: You can give a lolly to each person who guesses a word correctly, or points to their team if you want to turn it into a competition.
