AIM: God shows us His character through events
- God is REAL (Y3 T1 U1)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is REAL by what He says and does
- God is PATIENT (Y3 T1 U2)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is PATIENT by the many warnings He gave the king
- God is POWERFUL (Y3 T1 UE)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is POWERFUL by the plagues He performed
- God is HOLY (Y3 T1 U3)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is HOLY by eventually punishing disobedience
- God is a PROVIDER (Y3 T1 UH)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is a PROVIDER by supplying food to Israel, but when
God provides what we need He expects us to follow His instructions & obey Him
- God is LOVING (Y3 T1 U5)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is LOVING by giving us the 10 commandments so that
we can enjoy life
JESUS
AIM: God shows us His character through Jesus
- God is ALL KNOWING (Y3 T2 U1)
Teaching Idea: God shows us
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is ALL KNOWING through Jesus taking notice of
Blind Bartimaeus – God sees and knows about each of us
- God is UNDERSTANDING (Y3 T2 U1a)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is UNDERSTANDING through Jesus treating the
deaf man as important and unique – God sees us as important individuals who are different from each other
- God is AVAILABLE (Y3 T2 U2)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is AVAILABLE through Jesus being there and helping
when the disciples needed Him – God is always there when we need Him and He has the power to help us.
10. God is CARING (Y3 T2 U2a)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is CARING through Jesus feeding the crowd – God
looks after our physical needs.
- God is UPRIGHT (Y3 T2 U3)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is UPRIGHT and wants to get rid of things which are
wrong by sending Jesus to die and take the punishment for our sin.
12. God is PEACEFUL (Y3 T2 U3a)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is PEACEFUL through Jesus giving advice on how to
sort out arguments.
- God is KING (Y3 T2 U4a)
Teaching Idea: Through Jesus, God shows us He is the KING who can save, and that
He comes to bring peace and make us His friends.
14. God is SAVIOUR (Y3 T1 U4, T2 U5)
Teaching Idea: God shows us He is our SAVIOUR by sending Jesus to die and take the
punishment for our sins so we may be forgiven. |
