Annies Fruit bars.

Glowsticks or Glow bands

You can buy them VERY cheap and on-sell for a good profit.

Eg. bracelets/bands – buy for 16c and sell for $1. Google www.glowsticksltd.co.nz

DIY Workshop
Ask a carpenter, plumber or painter/wallpaperer, chef … to come and do some demonstrations. We suggest you gauge interest first, then choose a time and date, decide a cost and advertise. Some experts may be in your church or local and offer to do the demo at no cost to support your cause. Then we suggest you give them a gift as an appreciation. That way most of your entry fee is profit.
Photography sittings
Lots of people like the idea of having a family photo done, but many don't get around to it unless an opportunity drops right in their lap.
Make an arrangement with a photographer to provide a free sitting and basic print for a specified number of people and then sell the photo sittings at $10 each. Your members get a great print for just $10 and the photographer has the opportunity to sell bigger packages to those who want it.
Antique Fairs can work in all sorts of ways. The easiest and most effective way is to enlist the help of an antique expert to appraise items in return for promoting their store. People then bring along items for appraisal and pay your organisation for the privilege of doing so.

Catering:

This is a great opportunity if you have someone capable of catering for functions. Leaders & parents can help with preparation and Members can help with serving & dishes.

Sausage Sizzles

Contact The Warehouse in your area to book a suitable day. You could always ask if you can do a sausage sizzle one Sunday a month, straight after church. The smell of yummy sausages cooking will cause many to buy them to eat on
the way home!

Firewood:

This is the time of year to find folk with downed trees or who are prepared to donate them if you do the work. You will need fathers with chainsaws & a log splitter (or borrow or hire one for a day). Rally members can help with
the loading and unloading on the day that is set aside for delivering of orders.
Advertise at church, school newsletters, through Rally, supermarket boards and of course, word of mouth. Efficient and correct recording of details and orders is essential.
