About Us
Sociologically, K Road is a kind of surrogate 'hood for any subculture which isn't big enough in Auckland to have its own 'area', which means by night it can be a weird mix of flannel-clad altbros, 8 foot tall drag queens, wayward clubbers, hen's nights and homelessness. Sometimes hard to tell who's who.. nightclubs range from African reggae at Roots through to high-energy house music at Kiss. K' Rd stores boast true ethnic diversity - be sure to see the Polynesian influenced fashion and home wares at Buana Satu.

Services
Not a neighborhood per se, Karangahape [colloquially shortened to 'K'] Road is Auckland's alternative main street. Running from the dilapidated Symonds Street cemetery to the more upmarket Ponsonby Road, K Road has more vintage clothing stores / cafes / bars / live music per square metre than anywhere else in Auckland.
